Welcome to Uhuru For All.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Uhuru For All website, participation in our programs and activities, donations made through our website, and interactions with Uhuru For All in connection with our services and projects.
By accessing or using our website, making a donation, submitting information through our website, volunteering, participating in a program, or otherwise interacting with Uhuru For All, you agree to comply with these Terms and any other applicable Uhuru For All policies, agreements, and project requirements.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or participate in activities governed by these Terms.
1. About Uhuru For All
Uhuru For All is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals and communities through initiatives including education, vocational training, clean water access, health education, community development, and other charitable activities.
Our activities may be carried out directly or in collaboration with beneficiaries, communities, schools, donors, volunteers, contractors, partner organizations, government institutions, and other third parties.
Information about our mission and programs is available through our website.
2. Use of the Website
You may use the Uhuru For All website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems;
Interfere with the operation or security of the website;
Upload malicious software, harmful code, or other damaging material;
Misrepresent your identity or relationship with Uhuru For All;
Use our website to impersonate Uhuru For All, its staff, volunteers, partners, or representatives;
Copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit website content in an unauthorized manner; or
Use information obtained from the website in a manner that could harm Uhuru For All, its beneficiaries, partners, donors, or communities.
Uhuru For All reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the website where there is a reasonable basis to believe that these Terms have been violated.
3. Donations
Donations made to Uhuru For All are intended to support our charitable mission and programs.
By making a donation, you confirm that:
You are authorized to use the payment method provided;
The information supplied during the donation process is accurate;
The donation is made voluntarily; and
You understand that donated funds may be allocated according to Uhuru For All’s charitable priorities and applicable restrictions.
Where a donation is designated for a particular program or project, Uhuru For All will make reasonable efforts to use the funds consistently with the stated purpose, subject to applicable law, donor restrictions, project circumstances, and organizational needs.
Uhuru For All may redirect funds where a particular project becomes impractical, fully funded, completed, discontinued, or otherwise unable to proceed as originally planned.
Donation refunds, where applicable, will be handled in accordance with Uhuru For All’s donation procedures and applicable law.
Donors should obtain independent tax advice regarding the tax treatment of their donations.
4. Project and Program Participation
Participation in Uhuru For All programs and projects may be subject to additional requirements.
These may include:
Eligibility requirements;
Application or registration procedures;
Beneficiary agreements;
Project-specific rules;
Safety requirements;
Maintenance responsibilities;
Monitoring requirements;
Reporting obligations; and
Other conditions communicated by Uhuru For All.
Participation in a project does not automatically create an ownership interest in Uhuru For All, its property, intellectual property, funds, equipment, or project assets.
Where a separate written agreement applies, that agreement may establish additional rights and responsibilities.
5. Project Assets and Infrastructure
Uhuru For All may provide, fund, install, facilitate, repair, donate, or support physical assets and infrastructure as part of its programs.
These may include:
Boreholes;
Wells;
Water tanks;
Pumps;
Pipes and taps;
Solar systems;
Electrical installations;
School facilities;
Educational equipment;
Computers and ICT equipment;
Furniture;
Community facilities;
Training equipment;
Appliances;
Tools; and
Other project-related assets.
Project assets are intended to serve the approved charitable purpose for which they were provided.
The use, management, maintenance, modification, extension, connection, relocation, repair, replacement, or removal of such assets may be subject to project-specific agreements and policies.
6. No Unauthorized Modification or Interference
A beneficiary, community, school, organization, contractor, partner, volunteer, or other third party must not materially modify, extend, relocate, connect to, remove, interfere with, or otherwise alter a Uhuru For All-supported project or project asset without the required prior coordination and approval.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Connecting additional pipes or taps;
Connecting additional water tanks;
Installing pumps or other equipment;
Altering electrical or solar systems;
Relocating equipment;
Changing plumbing arrangements;
Drilling additional connections;
Making structural alterations;
Removing components;
Replacing equipment;
Connecting another organization’s equipment to an existing project; or
Making other changes that may affect the safety, functionality, sustainability, cost, records, or intended purpose of the project.
The fact that a beneficiary or third party owns additional equipment does not automatically give that person or organization permission to connect the equipment to a Uhuru-supported project.
Before undertaking a material intervention, the responsible party should contact Uhuru For All and follow the applicable project approval process.
7. Third-Party Organizations and Partners
Uhuru For All recognizes that communities and beneficiary institutions may work with multiple NGOs, charities, government agencies, donors, contractors, development organizations, and other partners.
Uhuru For All does not claim exclusive control over a community or beneficiary institution merely because it has supported a project.
However, third-party organizations must not materially interfere with or modify Uhuru For All-supported infrastructure without appropriate coordination.
Where a third party proposes to connect to, modify, extend, relocate, repair, replace, or otherwise intervene in an existing Uhuru-supported project, the organization may be required to:
Notify Uhuru For All;
Provide details of the proposed intervention;
Identify the affected project assets;
Provide relevant technical information;
Demonstrate appropriate safety and regulatory compliance;
Obtain the required consent or authorization before work begins;
Coordinate with the beneficiary and Uhuru For All; and
Provide completion information and documentation after the work.
Uhuru For All may require technical assessment before approving an intervention.
8. Project Intervention Approval
Where applicable, Uhuru For All may require a third-party organization or beneficiary to complete a Third-Party Project Intervention Request Form before work begins.
Approval may be subject to:
Technical assessment;
Safety considerations;
Environmental considerations;
Regulatory requirements;
Project sustainability;
Maintenance implications;
Funding and ownership considerations;
Impact on existing equipment;
Impact on beneficiaries;
Availability of qualified professionals; and
Other factors relevant to the project.
Approval should not be assumed merely because an organization has previously worked with the beneficiary or community.
No person or organization should represent that Uhuru For All has approved a project intervention unless such approval has actually been provided.
9. Emergency Repairs
Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent reasonable emergency action where immediate action is necessary to protect life, prevent serious injury, prevent major property damage, or address an urgent public safety risk.
Where emergency action affects a Uhuru-supported project, the beneficiary or responsible organization should notify Uhuru For All as soon as reasonably possible.
The person or organization undertaking emergency work should document the work performed and provide relevant information to Uhuru For All where requested.
10. Water and Borehole Projects
Uhuru For All supports clean-water initiatives, including wells and boreholes.
Water infrastructure requires appropriate technical management, maintenance, and regulatory consideration.
Beneficiaries and partners must not make changes that could compromise:
Water quality;
Water availability;
Pump operation;
Structural integrity;
Electrical or solar safety;
Plumbing systems;
Equipment performance;
Community access;
Hygiene or sanitation; or
Regulatory compliance.
Where applicable, project beneficiaries and partners are expected to comply with relevant Ghanaian water-resource, drilling, environmental, health, safety, and other applicable requirements.
11. Regulatory Compliance
All projects, activities, installations, repairs, modifications, and interventions must comply with applicable laws, regulations, permits, licences, technical standards, and professional requirements.
For example, Ghana’s Water Resources Commission states that persons and organizations involved in drilling water wells are required to engage licensed water-well drillers and that borehole owners are required to register boreholes under applicable requirements.
Uhuru For All may require evidence of relevant approvals, licences, registrations, inspections, certifications, or professional involvement where reasonably necessary for a project.
12. Project Handover and Responsibilities
Where Uhuru For All formally hands over a project or asset to a beneficiary, the parties may document the handover through a Project Handover & Asset Management Certificate or another written project document.
The handover documentation may identify:
The project;
The beneficiary;
The location;
Assets provided;
Condition of assets;
Intended use;
Maintenance responsibilities;
Reporting responsibilities;
Restrictions on modification;
Third-party intervention requirements; and
Other relevant responsibilities.
Handover does not automatically authorize subsequent modification of the project.
Any restrictions or responsibilities contained in a signed project agreement remain applicable according to that agreement.
13. Maintenance and Care
Beneficiaries are expected to take reasonable care of project assets placed in their custody or made available for their use.
This may include:
Keeping equipment reasonably secure;
Using equipment for its intended purpose;
Reporting faults or damage;
Carrying out agreed routine maintenance;
Avoiding misuse;
Preventing unauthorized alterations; and
Cooperating with reasonable project monitoring.
Where maintenance responsibilities are assigned to a beneficiary through a separate agreement, those responsibilities will apply according to the relevant agreement.
14. Project Records and Documentation
Uhuru For All may maintain records relating to its projects and assets for purposes including:
Accountability;
Donor reporting;
Monitoring;
Maintenance;
Auditing;
Project evaluation;
Historical records;
Regulatory compliance; and
Organizational management.
Beneficiaries and project partners may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to maintain accurate project records.
15. Public Statements and Representation
No person or organization may falsely represent that it:
Owns Uhuru For All;
Acts as an authorized representative of Uhuru For All;
Has received approval from Uhuru For All;
Has authority to speak on behalf of Uhuru For All; or
Has independently completed a project that was actually funded, implemented, or supported by Uhuru For All.
Beneficiaries and partners should accurately identify the respective contributions of organizations involved in a project.
Use of the Uhuru For All name, logo, branding, photographs, project information, or other organizational materials may be subject to additional requirements.
16. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content published on the Uhuru For All website, including:
Logos;
Text;
Graphics;
Photographs;
Videos;
Designs;
Reports;
Written materials; and
Other original materials
is owned by Uhuru For All or used with permission.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish, or commercially exploit protected content without appropriate authorization.
This does not prevent reasonable sharing of publicly available Uhuru For All content for legitimate non-commercial awareness or charitable purposes, provided that the source is appropriately acknowledged and the content is not misleadingly altered.
17. Third-Party Content and Websites
The Uhuru For All website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
Uhuru For All does not control and is not responsible for the content, security, privacy practices, availability, or policies of third-party websites.
A link to a third-party website does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership.
Users should review the applicable terms and privacy policies of third-party websites.
18. Accuracy of Information
Uhuru For All makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate and useful information on its website.
However, information may occasionally become outdated, incomplete, or contain errors.
Project information, fundraising figures, schedules, photographs, descriptions, and other website content may change as projects develop.
Uhuru For All reserves the right to correct or update information without prior notice.
19. Disclaimer
The website and its content are provided for general informational and charitable purposes.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Uhuru For All does not guarantee that:
The website will always be available;
The website will be free from errors;
Information will always be current or complete;
The website will be free from harmful technical elements; or
Particular outcomes will result from participation in a program or use of information provided on the website.
Nothing on the website should be interpreted as professional engineering, medical, legal, financial, or other specialist advice unless expressly stated.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Uhuru For All, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, representatives, and affiliates will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other losses arising from the use of the website or reliance on website information.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Project-specific risks, responsibilities, and liabilities may be governed by separate written agreements.
21. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, a person or organization that uses the website or participates in Uhuru For All activities agrees to be responsible for claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:
Their unlawful or unauthorized use of the website;
Their violation of these Terms;
Their unauthorized modification or interference with a Uhuru-supported project;
Their violation of applicable law or regulations; or
Their infringement of the rights of Uhuru For All or another person.
This provision does not create liability where applicable law prohibits such liability.
22. Unauthorized Project Intervention
Where a person or organization undertakes an unauthorized intervention involving a Uhuru-supported project, Uhuru For All may take reasonable steps to protect the project and its beneficiaries.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
Requesting that work stop;
Requesting technical information;
Conducting or commissioning an assessment;
Requesting correction or restoration;
Updating project records;
Notifying relevant stakeholders;
Suspending further project support;
Requiring additional safeguards;
Seeking recovery of reasonable costs where legally permitted; or
Taking other appropriate action under applicable agreements or law.
Uhuru For All will consider the circumstances and potential impact of the intervention before determining an appropriate response.
23. Relationship With Project Agreements
These Terms apply generally to the use of the Uhuru For All website and interactions with the organization.
However, a beneficiary, partner, contractor, or other project participant may be required to sign a separate written agreement.
Such documents may include:
Project Partnership, Asset Use & Modification Policy;
Beneficiary Project & Asset Management Agreement;
Third-Party Project Intervention Request Form;
Project Handover & Asset Management Certificate;
Project-specific maintenance agreements; or
Other written project agreements.
Where a separate written project agreement contains specific requirements for a particular project, those requirements will apply to that project in addition to these Terms.
24. No Exclusivity
Uhuru For All does not generally require a beneficiary, school, community, or institution to work exclusively with Uhuru For All.
Beneficiaries may work with other organizations, donors, government agencies, NGOs, contractors, and development partners.
However, cooperation with another organization does not remove the obligation to respect the applicable requirements governing an existing Uhuru-supported project or asset.
25. Changes to These Terms
Uhuru For All may update these Terms from time to time.
When changes are made, the revised version will be published on this page and the “Last Updated” date may be changed.
Where appropriate, material changes may also be communicated through other reasonable means.
Continued use of the website after revised Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
26. Governing Law
These Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to Uhuru For All and the relevant activity, transaction, project, or relationship.
Because Uhuru For All operates across jurisdictions and may conduct projects in different countries, the applicable law and dispute-resolution process may depend on the nature and location of the relevant activity.
Where a separate written agreement specifies governing law or dispute resolution, that agreement will govern the relevant relationship to the extent legally enforceable.
27. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
The invalid or unenforceable provision should be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally possible.
28. Entire Terms
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable project-specific agreements or policies, represent the applicable terms governing the relevant use of the Uhuru For All website and services.
No provision of these Terms is intended to replace a separate signed project agreement unless expressly stated.

Important Project Notice
If you are a school, community, beneficiary institution, NGO, donor, contractor, partner, or other organization involved with a project supported by Uhuru For All:
Please do not modify, extend, connect to, relocate, remove, repair, replace, or otherwise materially interfere with a Uhuru-supported project or project asset without first following the applicable project coordination and approval process.
This includes connecting additional tanks, taps, pipes, pumps, electrical systems, solar systems, or other equipment to an existing Uhuru-supported installation.
Where another organization wishes to contribute to or expand an existing project, Uhuru For All encourages collaboration and coordination so that the additional work can be assessed, documented, carried out safely, and properly integrated into the project.
